Hurricane season, handled in three parts

Most storm damage on this coast is not the storm. It is the thing that was loose, clogged, or forgotten when the wind arrived.

White stucco Florida home under tall palm trees before a storm

So the work happens in the order that actually prevents loss: get the house ready before there is a name on the map, secure it the moment a watch posts, and document everything afterward against a record that already exists.

Before the season, and again in September

A readiness walkthrough of the whole property. Shutters and panels located and test fit, tracks cleared, gutters and roof drains open, trees and limbs noted, generator started and fueled, patio and pool inventory written down, and a dated photo record of every exterior surface and every room. That photo set is what your insurer wants to see after a claim and almost nobody has it. $145, or included with membership.

When the watch posts

Members hear from me before the watch is public, with a booking link and a time already held. Shutters and panels go up, furniture, grills, planters, and umbrellas come in or get tied down, the yard is cleared of anything that flies, loose gutters are checked, sandbags go at garage and slab doors, and you get photos of the house buttoned up. If you are out of town, none of it waits on you.

After it passes

First visit within a day of the all clear. Exterior and interior walked and photographed, damage written up room by room against the pre storm record so the before and after sit side by side, shutters down, debris cleared and staged at the curb, screens and gates checked, and a list of what needs a licensed trade with a partner and a date already attached. Members get the report the same evening.

Roof, tree, and chainsaw work

Why you hear from me first

I follow every system in the basin, not the local forecast. Members get a text with a prep window while a storm is still an invest, which is well before the watch is posted and long before the plywood sells out. That is the whole advantage. By the time everyone else is calling around, your shutters are already on the schedule.

Get on the storm list

Members are scheduled first, in the order they joined. If you want your house secured before the rush, the time to sort that out is not the week of the storm.
